13/10 – Autumn Days

In contrast to today’s chill, yesterday was one of the perfect mid-autumn days. Not too warm, with a nice breeze and mostly clear skies. The leaves are just starting to turn orange in places, and a nice carpeting of crunchy fallen leaves covers almost every path. To celebrate, Seán and I went out for Starbucks and settled down in the Botanic Gardens in Glasgow to read and hang out.

I’m partial to Pumpkin Spice Lattes and almonds.

Dweeb got a hot chocolate with pumpkin spice syrup, but sadly had to suffer the indignity of having his name spelled Shawn.

Hard life.

Hard life.

We settled down under this tree.

It was really nice to get out and enjoy these brief autumn days. If what I’ve heard is true, they’ll soon be replaced by cloudy days and daily rain. Sigh.
